Lauren's 7th Birthday Celebration

Our Bugga-Boo turned 7 on November 23rd. Seriously, I just don't know where the time goes! Lauren requested a "purse party." I wasn't really sure what a purse party entailed, but she gave me her ideas and together we made it happen.

We made purse party invitations for her friends.
The girlies came in their favorite dressy-attire.
Ya Ya made the most amazing purse cake (as usual!!).

We painted fingernails (courtesy of Ya Ya and her fabulous nail dryer!).

We decorated take-home purses.

Aunt Kelly created princess up-dos.

We had a purse coloring contest.

We had a fashion show.

And, we demolished a purse pinata. Lauren said it was everything she had dreamed of. Mission accomplished! Happy birthday, Bugga.

Some of my favorite things about Lauren: her caring and nurturing demeanor, her desire to always do her best (in school, in dance and anything else she tries), her beautiful long hair, her love of cleanliness and order (she is her mother's daughter!!), her passion for reading and writing, and her laugh. Love your guts, Laur!

Halloween

Halloween didn't go exactly as planned this year. I was a little under-the-weather and Tanner was injured (and on pain meds...he was rather worthless!), so my mom and dad came to our rescue. My parents entertained the girls all weekend and took them trick-or-treating. The girls had an amazing time, thanks to my mom and dad. We love you and appreciate all of your help!

CrAzY Hair Day

The girlies love Red Ribbon Week...and all the fun that comes with it! Crazy hair day was their favorite.

My Saucy Peanut

We often refer to her as "Peanut." But, the closer she gets to turning two, the saucier she's become. So we now refer to her (affectionately, of course) as "Saucy Peanut". It suits her perfectly! And, to hear her say the word "Saucy" just melts your heart.

I came across this quote today. It suits me just perfectly. Life has been hard lately, really hard. Most days are really happy days but, every once-in-a-while I have reality moment - when I freely admit that this is tough. But really, we are doing just fine. I have an amazing family and great friends who boost me up when life is tough. Love you all. And, yes, I mean it -we're doing just fine (no need to worry, mom!).
