Remember the GaMeR?

Let me preface this by saying: please don't judge. Just. Don't. Do. It. Because, years ago, I would have judged. But, for some strange reason this has become rather amusing to me. Maybe I'm desperate for some good entertainment.

She's getting more creative with her gaming locations.

I was getting Lauren and Paityn ready for school one morning and noticed Raegan had been missing for a few minutes. I opened the door to my bedroom and heard the unmistakable sounds of Mario. Mario was coming from...drum roll...none other than my LaUnDrY bAsKeT!

She had even taken the time to plug in the DSi (clearly too much gaming when the batteries are always dead!).

When I opened the lid, this is what I found....
The youngest princess - perched upon a pile of dirty clothes.
On second thought, you ShOuLd judge. My mothering has definitely gotten much more lax. Years ago, I promised myself my future kids would never have "those" meltdowns in the grocery store, never wear "those" character shirts and definitely, most definitely, never play "those" video games. In the scheme of things, Mario doesn't seem quite as bad anymore.

Bad mothering? Less uptight? Call it what you want. One thing is for sure: my life wouldn't be nearly as adventurous without these girlies.

Mayor Cornell

Lauren's class has been working on a job fair segment. Lauren was assigned to be the Coleman County Mayor...and she made a pretty cute mayor (if I do say so myself ;). After a couple of months of research, reports, speeches, campaigning and such, the 2nd graders put on a program for their parents.
Some of Laur's fave classmates: School Bus Driver Sarah, Park Ranger McKenna and Rancher Taylor.
